What is Pay-at-the-Plate?

This is a common practice at tournaments around the country outside of Colorado.  With Colorado tournament costs  increasing higher and higher every year, we are moving to a pay the umpire at the plate system to help keep costs down for individual teams.

What are the benefits?

Your registration fee is kept as low as possible.  And you only pay for what you play.  If you get eliminated early, you only pay for umpires you use.  If you only have one umpire, you pay less.  If you are fortunate to play in more games, you a pay for the umpires you use.

How does it work?

Each team pays the umpire at the home plate coaches meeting either in cash or by Venmo.

COST

1 ump working the game = $30 from each team ($60 total between the two teams)

2 umps working the game = $50 from each team to pay for one umpire each. ($100 total between the two teams)

** Championship games:  tournament pays umpire fee **
